A Prayer for Lenten Boldness

“So allow us appear boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will get his mercy, and we will locate grace to assistance us when we will need it most.” Hebrews 4:16 NLT

“Did I blow it?” It’s a problem I’ve asked a number of moments in my lifetime. On the cusp of something terrific when the base falls out. Letting anxiety to get more than. Father,
Thank you for these encouraging verses today. You are faithful to lift us up when we are stuck in question, and discouraged by our problems and imperfections. When our sinful character outings us up, God, thank You for reminding us You are nonetheless in regulate. Thankfully, we are not! We cling to Christ now, God, keeping firmly to our belief in Him. We know He understands our weaknesses, for he faced all the exact same temptations and tests we do each day …yet, He did not sin. Father, thank You for sending Jesus to conserve us. Thank You for providing us a Buddy who empathizes with us, genuinely, is aware of how we experience, and fulfills us with overwhelming compassion. It is by way of Christ Jesus we occur boldly to Your throne, God. We have to have Your grace. It is by means of the Holy Spirit alive and active in us we are capable to be daring enough to arrive to You! Noticing our need to have for grace, forgiveness, ability, and power to wander in Your will! We come to You, these days, God of grace and mercy mainly because we need to have You. We will need grace, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, and energy. On our possess, we are incapable of walking in Your will. As the creator of Hebrews wrote, we arrive boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will obtain Your mercy and come across grace to enable us when we have to have it most.

Father, we appear forward to becoming a member of You for eternity, when we will no longer be sure by sin or knowledge sadness and discomfort. But until eventually then, we depend on You fully. We cling to Christ Jesus, our fantastic Substantial Priest, Your Son, keeping firmly to what we feel. Jesus, You are our friend. We are thankful You satisfy us in our weaknesses and relate to the testings we endure everyday. We occur boldly to Your Father’s throne by means of You. Thank You for Your sacrifice, faithfulness, compassion, enjoy, existence, light-weight, truth …and faithful friendship.
