A Prayer for the Weary Soul

“My brethren, rely it all pleasure when you drop into numerous trials, figuring out that the testing of your faith makes patience.” – James 1:2-3 NKJV

Even as a Christian, occasionally it feels like this sort of a battle to hold onto peace, hope, and joy. Understanding correct peace, hope, and pleasure are not circumstantial, for the duration of my fight with intense rest deprivation from sleep troubles with my youngsters, I had to lean on God’s grace to get through each single day, in contrast to any other time in my existence. I realized the Bible informed me that I wanted to “count it all joy” amid these trials, but I required God to give me eyes to see the why and empower me to adhere to his guide. After his first greeting to the tribes of Israel in the opening of James’ letter, he quickly began exhorting and encouraging God’s people. He wrote, there is a objective inside of the painful storms of life. James 1:2-3 claims:

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into numerous trials, recognizing that the screening of your religion creates persistence (NKJV).

We know as young children of God our Heavenly Father will allow trials in our lives to improve our faith in Him and is usually doing the job things for our very good (Romans 8:28). James 1:3 reveals this sharpening or screening of our faith ‘muscles’ will produce patience in us, which is a fruit of the Spirit. God will generally use painful, awkward, and annoying scenarios to sanctify us. We can have pleasure figuring out these storms and issues are molding us into looking a lot more like Christ. 

In the long run, we need to bear in mind our pleasure is not anchored in this existence, but most importantly, in the lifetime to come. When our life are loaded with trials, we need to be able to glimpse to the future—to heaven—to come across the joy that can soothe our weary hearts. Our pleasure must be dependent on seeking to God and to the inheritance we will acquire in heaven. This is specifically what Jesus did. He was capable to endure the cross since of the joy set in advance of Him (Heb. 12:2). We, as well, ought to comprehend that the suffering we endure in this lifetime can not look at with the pleasure laid up for us in heaven. So, chin up, dear 1. Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, I’m weary and hurting. I have asked so lots of situations for this suffering to be removed and for You to rescue me from this storm. I truly feel depleted. I come to feel like I’m drowning. But I notice You have not identified as me to are living by my feelings or by what I see taking place all over me You have named me to wander by religion. And as my religion in You rises in me, I have faith in that You have me just where I am supposed to be -dependent on Your grace. In my weak spot, I know You are my energy. I praise You in my suffering, and I check with that You use this demo, struggling, and storm to modify me to appear much more like Christ- all for Your glory. I know I may endure weeping in the night time, but Your joy normally comes- a joy that is not dependent on my instances but is eternal and sustaining even in the darkest of evenings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
